They cut the driver panel really nicely like I had asked them to in the first place, and they are going to use foam behind it to give it support. They just hired a new fabricator and I spoke to him for a little while. I am confident enough to let them go ahead and cut my brand new panels to fit. I am not having them redo anything. It actually looks kinda cool as it is now with the bars running through the door panel. I spoke to the owner of the interior shop who is going to wrap my cage and he said he'll make something nice for the gap so it should come out really nicely. So that's the update. I pick it up on wed.
